Hmmm,
praktische erfahrung mit dem KMK Interface habe ich nicht, da ich es nicht besitze. Aber folgende Infos stehen mir vom Autor zur Verfügung:

ECI+CART on XE. An adapter for XL bus is being prepared (AFAIK).

16 at once (speaking of the "BIOS" level software).
> 3) maximum partition size (standard = 16 Meg.)
8 GB (again, BIOS level software limit).

Difficult question, what is "support for disk images". Certainly the OS
cannot boot from a file (for disk image is a file), it can only boot
from a partition. You can copy the disk image's contents to an empty
partition and boot.
> 5) 16bit or 8bit data transfer ?!? support of other items like CD-ROM,

16 bit data transfer. I don't know for ZIP drives, but if the ZIP is
ATA-compliant, it will work.
> 6) does the KMK interface include a special OS ?!?
Nope. It is a self-contained parallel bus device.
> 7) does the KMK interface support flash cards or microdrives ?!? (MyIde
> supports flash cards, msc-ide does not)
If these devices are ATA-compliant, the support is there. If for "flash
cards" you mean so called CFs (compact flash), these have been proved to
work with the interface. Microdrives to my knowledge are CF-like
devices, except that they contain a micro-harddisk instead of flash
memory. Microdrive behaves as CF, and CF card is ATA-compliant. So they
ought to work.

does the KMK interface work with different DOS systems (like Sparta,

Yes, the device is not DOS-dependent.

> euros) ?!?

hoffe, dass diese Infos ein klein wenig weiterhelfen. Gruss, Andreas Magenheimer.
