I am looking for the CDDRV software for the MSC IDE. It was on one of the ABBUC magazines only I don't know which. It was a driver for SPARTADOS to use the CD-ROM as D: device...

Something like CDDRV D8: ....

When someone has this program let me know...

I've had a short look at the downloadsection here and Magazin 52 might be the one you are looking for.

BTW I've burned all the ABBUC Mags + Sondermags + all the AMC disks + all the ABBUC PD (if it's an ATR of an Atari XL/XE disk) on a CD. Still only used 330 MB. And most of these disks are single density, so there are a lot of upper 128 bytes waisted. Hell, why can't the BB handle 128 Byte sectors.......

afaik Erhard Puetz wrote an article about that subject and part of the article included assembler source (or a batchfile or something) on how to talk to the CD ROM drive... search for magazines 47-60, the article (and probably the software also) was somewhere on these mags... -Andreas Magenheimer.

The artikel in Magazin 52 was by Erhard. The file Rene is looking for is not on that magazin. But Rene could try to contact Erhard and as him if he still has the software. Erhard's email address should be on this site somewhere.
