Original brand new Atari 810 Diagnostic Cartridge FD100006 for 8-bit Atari 800/XL/XE/810/1050/ETC.
These are brand new and were made by Atari.
Has 2 tests. Alignment and Burn-In.
Both tests require a pre-formated disk. The Alignment test confirms that the drive will read a pre-formated disk. The Burn-In with confirm your drive can write sveral different patterns of data to all sectors without an error. I will put up an auction for pre-formated disks that will work with this cartridge.
The Burn-In will test up to 4 drives at a time and runs about 2 hours per drive. If a printer is hooked up to your computer the test results will be printed out. I believe this test will work on any Atari 800 compatible disk drive. I use this test on all drives we sell. This test will verigy a disk drive is working correctly over time. It will not tell you what is wrong with a drive only that it fails the Burn-In test.
