ABBUC Summer Camp 2026 (Replacement for Fujiama)

We’ve found a venue for the “ABBUC Summer Camp”: From Wednesday, August 26, through Sunday, August 30, we’ll be guests at the Schützenhalle of the Schützenverein Elkeringhausen 1905 e.V. in Elkeringhausen near Winterberg. Thanks for Dr. Irata (aka Peter Prodehl) for supporting the meeting.
The ABBUC Summer Camp is a gathering of computer enthusiasts who celebrate the Atari 8-bit computer as well as many other systems from that era.
Participants from all over the world are welcome to showcase their hardware and software, work on projects, compete against each other in games, listen to chip music, learn new things at presentations, chat with one another, have fun, or simply relax and explore the Sauerland countryside.
Admission is free; we’ll have a donation box set up.

Outside, there is a barbecue area and space for tents.

By Train
Via Winterberg Station; a transfer can be arranged. Please let us know at least one week in advance if you would like to be picked up.
By Car
From the north via the A1/A46 through Arnsberg and Olsberg
From the west via the A4 through Lennestadt and Schmallenberg
From the south via the A5/A45/A485 through Marburg to Winterberg
From the east via the A4/A5 through Bad Hersfeld and Stadtallendorf to Winterberg
By Plane
- via Paderborn Airport (about 1 hour)

Accommodations
Hall
You can spend the night in the hall with an air mattress and sleeping bag (possibly in a separate room)
Tent
Tents can be set up on the lawn next to the hall.
RV / Car
If you’d like, you can park your RV in the hall’s parking lot.

There is a wide selection of vacation accommodations in Elkeringhausen and Winterberg, including some right next to the hall.
