Nachdem er bereits mit riesigem Erfolg u.a. die GDs für den Jaguar64 und den Lynx rausgehauen hat,
folgt nun der nächste Streich: Das neue Gamedrive für die 7800 !

Support for all commercial game mappers for 2600 and 7800 as well as RGB and stereo audio out via MegaDrive 2 style mini-din on the cartridge itself.
Audio support includes DUAL POKEY, YM2151 and TIA.

Erste Phase: Nicht-Wahrhaben-Wollen

Mit DUAL POKEY, YM2151 und TIA? Und dann noch RGB-Videoausgang? Geht doch gar nicht...

Zweite Phase: Zorn

So einen Blödsinn braucht doch keiner! Können die in ihrer Zeit nicht was sinnvolles entwickeln?

Dritte Phase: Verhandeln

SOOO teuer? Und was kostet es ohne Stereo-Funktion???

Vierte Phase: Depression

Ach blöd, brauch ich auch eigentlich nicht, komme sowieso nicht zum spielen. Außerdem, 7800, Jaguar ist doch viel besser...

Fünfte Phase: Akzeptanz

Im Endeffekt klingt das nach einem Dragonfly, nur in Brauchbar und entbuggt?

Ich muß mir angewöhnen, nicht immer gleich das Neueste zu kaufen... seufz.

Moin Jürgen, welche Probleme hast du denn mit der Dragonfly?
Ich bin damit top zufrieden mit der damit!

Das "Killerfeature" des GD ist für mich die Möglichkeit zu cheaten und Zwischenstände abzuspeichern.
Deshalb werde ich wohl um eine erneute Inverstition nicht herum kommen...

Das GD 7800 soll übrigens in Deutschland vom DragonBox Shop vertrieben werden.
Das soll keine Schleichwerbung sein, wollte nur rechtzeitig bescheid geben, bevor jemand im Ausland mit entsprechenden Zusatzkosten bestellt...

Nicht zu vergessen der direkte RGB/Audio-Ausgang am GD .

The RetroHQ 7800 GameDrive cartridge allows you to play all your Atari 7800 games and homebrew directly from a memory card with many other extras built in!

The 7800GD has all the additional audio chips you'll ever need, including 2 POKEY chips for DUAL POKEY music, a YM2151, COVOX audio for sampled sound and BupChip for blasting sampled music.

The 7800GD also features a unique RGB video and audio out port on the cartridge iteself allowing you to play your 7800 (and 2600) games in glorious RGB using a compatible Mega Drive 2 style video cable!*

As if all of this wasn't enough, the 7800GD also allows you to break into your games, save your state, load previous states, enable cheats or just return to the game menu and load another game.
