Zest - a new FPGA project

Auf die ShadowParty hatte ich mein MisterY Tang Nano mitt wie Atari ST.

Zufallig sab neben mir Francois Galea aka Zerkman/SectorOne denn ich schon auf die GEMTOS anfang Mai getroffen hatte .

Er hatt seit 2020 ein neues project gestarttet namlich ZeST , eine FPGA Atari ST emulator auf den Xilinx Z7Lite 7010/7020 FPGA.
Er war auf die suche nach ein billiger Alternativ fur Mister/Mist und dieses FPGA findet man auf Aliexpress fur ungefahr 120 EUR.

Auf die ShadowParty hat er eine Presentation daruber gegeben , momentam zum meine Verstandnis emuliert es

Floppy laufwerke A und B mitt .ST und .MSA images
ACSI emulation via ein .IMG image
ST emulation (keine STe biss jetzt) , RAM bis 14Mb
Keyboard emulation alle taste von den Atari ST Tastatur sind verfugbar auf ein Internationales PC Tastastur.

Ich hab mir den FPGA gekauft , mahl sehen ob dieser lauft zusammen mitt den Motorola Lapdock , ich bringe es mitt nach der Fujiama.

Es wird demnächst auch einen Klon des "echten" DE10 Nano geben - für $99,-

Seems a change is gonna happen soon regarding prices. Taki Udon (a guy whose twitter page is specialized in handheld devices) is currently beta-testing a chinese clone of the DE10-nano board that will go for sale at the end of may for 99$ (+ 15$ for 128MB ram bank). According to him the company producing the clones will have several models offered to general public (2 "computer-like" models ready to use a bit like MiST/Sidi/Sidi 128 + 1 handheld device like analog pocket that should come a bit after)... Having below 200$ ready to use MiSTer-based FPGA computers should greatly help more people enter the FPGA world and might motivate more developers too
