Atari 130XE 1:1 Replica

Even if it leads to nothing, it is a great approach and very interesting to follow.

Re: Atari 130XE 1:1 Replica
That's true. It's just a shame that every idea like that gets buried in a drawer after a while, only serving to attract attention... I hope this time will be different – a case of beer is promised :-)

Re: Atari 130XE 1:1 Replica
I'm a cautious optimist... I think it could be September, but 2026, if not 2027, or even later. I recommend caution when ordering a pig in a poke, or even waiting for the final product.
This isn't the first time Piotr has promised something and then reneged on it. He'll start working on something and then abandon the project. Everyone has a choice, I'll wait :-)

B option... always 'B' (Żubrówka) :-)
BTW, we should have a subforum like "Funny Stuff" or "Humor", which might be a better place for posts like this :-) What do you think?

Re: Atari 130XE 1:1 Replica
Nicht nur die Schlagzeile lesen / Don´t just read the headline:
[...]"everything else about Atari or ABBUC that does not fit in one of the other categories"[...]
A pure fun category is difficult, as it likely goes off topic, becomes political and/or offending and people start beating up each other.

Re: Atari 130XE 1:1 Replica
Uii.. 1:1 Kopie ?
Was sagt Atari dazu?
Copyrights usw.?

Lo...
XXL (hehe, you are using his hair)
TDC
Zaxon
CoriElectronics
Gonzo (good gfx, lame games)
and maybe a few more seem to be controversial in the polish A8 scene.
Me, I only had problems for a short time with XXL, since he called me a liar and other things, because I said on AA forum that he makes programs that intentionally do not work on U1MB (and some of his programs intentionally do not work on Rapidus or 65816). But several Atarians disassembled his programs and made proof of it! He was also caught several times and with several programs that did not work (on purpose!) with that hardware on AOL and AA forums. And there were heated discussions as well on AOL and AA forums, where he more or less lost his reputation and his fame became negative (well-known for "this is not [an] Atari anymore").
The funny thing is, I do not even own U1MB or Rapidus, but I simply do not like programs that are made in such a way that they intentionally do not work on certain A8 hardware. They even changed the rules for Lost and Last party and added that "entries which intentionally do not work on certain A8 hardware will be disqualified." It seems that shortly after that he stopped his participation on A8 parties and he seems not to be very active anymore (unsure if he is active at all)...

Re: Atari 130XE 1:1 Replica
-- of topic --
@CharlieChaplin - I'm disappointed that I'm not on your list :-)
Seriously though... where there's a "piece of the pie" called money to be won, there will always be those who criticize others. The electronics scene in Poland is a perfect example of this. This is one of the reasons I share my projects without any restrictions for private use. I think, just like in this thread about "Pixel Perfect something," extorting money from people for projects that have never been implemented or tested is a serious breach of trust, and I'm irritated by people trying to extort money by pulling the wool over their eyes and flooding them with technical nonsense. A book could be written about the Polish pathological electronic scene... some day.
I have nothing against making money on retro projects, but I do follow the principle: make it, test it, sell it.
